Tractor-Trailer Fire Shuts Down Stretch Of Route 267 In Virginia

Traffic was temporarily backed up in Loudoun County on Wednesday morning when a tractor-trailer went up in flames on Route 267.

First responders were called to the eastbound lanes of Route 267, which was closed at around 10 a.m. on Jan. 17 from the Leesburg bypass (Route 7) to Battlefield Parkway for a tractor-trailer fire.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, as of 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the east left lane, center lane, and right lane are closed at the county line.

First responders from the Leesburg and Virginia State police departments responded to the scene along with fire and EMS personnel.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were immediately reported.
